The Model X Plaid takes the already impressive Model X and adds three electric motors for a combined output of 1,020 horsepower — enough to accelerate a full-size SUV to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. With the same Falcon Wing doors, the same family-friendly cabin, and the same range capability as the standard Model X, the Plaid proves that performance and practicality need not be traded against each other in the electric age.
